Suction Control Valve
The Suction Control Valve includes a fuel cooled solenoid valve. The SCV is changed by a solenoid coil that modulates the pulse width at 1 KHz.When the SCV is not activated, the internal spring will maintain a fuel pressure of about 100 Bar. When the SCV is activated, the electromagnetic force assists the spring, reducing the valve's opening and increasing fuel pressure. SCV is also used as a mechanical pressure damper to smooth the high frequency pressure pulse from the radial piston pump when less than three pistons are activated.
